Introduction to me and my background

My name is Eric Hutchens and I am a luthier (stringed instrument builder, repairman, technician), as well as an aspiring musician (not a very talented one) and a music parent (she has talent).  The purpose of this blog is to share experience strength and hope with others who may be dealing with similar similar issues questions and thoughts.  I do not claim to know everything in any of the areas that I am associated with music, and some areas I know more than others. You may feel free to disagree with anything I say, and please respectfully let me know about it since that is how I learn.  If I state anything as fact, I will try to have a source to reference.  Opinions are just that, opinions.  Everyone has one and some are louder than others (but not necessarily more valid).  Thoughts usually come in the form of a question, such as "I wonder if the sky is blue, or if it is a trick my mind plays on me?".  I will try to contribute to this on a somewhat regular basis, but we will see how that goes.  Right now I have several topics that are rolling around in my brain that I want to get out.  I may also have some guest bloggers from time to time.  I will try to make it very clear if there is someone other than me who is speaking.
